Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CERAMIC AND REGULAR FILM?

Ceramic film and regular film differ mainly in material, performance, and cost. Ceramic film, made with non-metallic ceramic particles, offers superior heat rejection, better UV protection, and does not interfere with electronic devices, while maintaining high visibility. Regular film, typically made from dyed or metallized polyester, provides moderate heat rejection and UV protection but can interfere with electronics and is less durable. Ceramic film is more expensive than regular film. The choice between the two depends on the desired balance of performance and cost.

IS WINDOW TINTING LEGAL?

Tinting laws vary by location. It's important to check local regulations regarding tint darkness and reflectivity. In the state of Maryland all windows with add-on window tint must have at least 35 percent light transmittance. Red, yellow, amber, tint with a sparkling effect and reflective window tint is prohibited for all vehicles. Post manufacturer add-on window tint is prohibited on the windshield of any vehicle below the AS1 line or 5 inches from the top of the windshield, whichever is less.

WHAT IS PAINT PROTECTION FILM?

Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a clear, thin polyurethane material applied to a vehicle's exterior to protect its paint from damage. It acts as a shield against scratches, stone chips, bug splatters, and minor abrasions. PPF is nearly invisible, maintaining the car's aesthetic while providing a high level of protection. It is especially popular for high-end vehicles. Over time, the film can become discolored or worn, but it can be removed and replaced without damaging the original paint. PPF is an effective way to maintain a vehicle's appearance and resale value by protecting its paint from everyday wear and tear.

CAN PPF BE APPLIED TO ANY CAR?

Yes, PPF can be applied to new and used vehicles of all makes and models.

DOES PPF AFFECT THE PAINTS APPERANCE?

High-quality PPF should not alter the appearance of the paint and can even enhance its gloss.
